TPN’s ePOD system wins transport management award

TPN’s electronic proof of delivery system (ePOD), designed by TranSend Solutions, won the IT and Software award for transport management at the 2015 IntraLogistex Awards.

The rigorous judging, carried out by senior engineers and facilities managers from leading retailers, manufacturers and third party logistics providers, looked for innovation, efficiency gains, safety and environmental improvements, outstanding design and service excellence from the products.

TPN – The Pallet Network – invested in the cutting edge ePOD solution in 2014. It required a system which could both integrate with its IT architecture, TPN Connect, and offer complete tracking for pallets from their point of origin to their final destination.

The TPN Hub at Minworth handles over 13,000 pallets a night, destined for all corners of the UK. The operation has recently opened a Northern Hub near Preston to take a small proportion of this volume and allow the business to develop with greater inter-regional efficiency.
