TPN Members will have regional representation from its newly created Members Representative Council (MRC), which comprises the principals of five depots from different parts of the country. The MRC will help to shape the future direction of the business, discuss and, hopefully, resolve outstanding challenges, and continuously review best practice and health and safety.
The MRC comprises:
Marco Haig of David W Haig (Europe) (TPN depot 20) for region 1, North
Jim Tyler of 2MV Logistics (TPN depot 66) for region 2, South
Paul Hickling of East Trans, (TPN depot 82), for region 3, East
Paul Philip of Jays Logistics (South- West ) (TPN depot 71) for region 4, West
And Trevor Edden of TWE Haulage (TPN depot 39) as MRC chairman. (top image)
They will meet with TPN MD Mark Duggan and TPN operations director Mark Kendall.
TPN Members are very welcome to contact their local representative with discussion points, whether to praise good practice or to raise challenges which require resolution.
The MRC will meet at least four times a year. However, chair Trevor Edden says: “As MRC members, we will be available to talk to one another and Members as issues arise. The MRC should act as a conduit for information and a mechanism to further the continual raising of standards in the network. Our job is to make sure the network is always fit for purpose and operating optimally.â€
MD Mark Duggan says: “The MRC is a very valuable tool for the Hub and the Membership. It allows good ideas to percolate, views to be heard and the partnership that underlies TPN’s relationship with its Member companies to be cemented.â€
