German manufacturer Helios Ventilation Systems says Colchester-based TPN Member Pallet Plus is the best pallet distribution company it has ever used. Pallet Plus delivers the pallet-sized ventilation systems which Helios manufactures and distributes to residences, universities, hospitals and industrial units around the UK.

“Pallet Plus has been better than any other pallet company we’ve ever used. We normally find there is a short honeymoon period and then transport suppliers start to lose or damage product. Pallet Plus has kept the same consistently good service for over a year now,” says Andy Sutcliffe, Helios sales and marketing executive.

He says they have dispensed with poor transport providers in the past, as Helios customers are waiting to install products at live sites, so delay and damage is expensive. The company typically sends out 10 pallets a day for next-day delivery, using quarter, half and full pallets depending upon the order.

“Pallet Plus isn’t the cheapest company but it’s within the standard price zone,” says Sutcliffe. “General manager Neil Belcher listened to what we wanted and was very upfront about what he could and could not do. That allowed us to find another supplier for our very large freight, for example. Pallet Plus has delivered on everything he promised. In particular they are flexible on late orders and keep spare capacity for us on our busiest days,” says Sutcliffe.

“They are definitely the best pallet network company we have ever dealt with,” he says.
