Nottinghamshire-based Taylors Transport made a bride’s dream come true – or at least the men in her family extremely happy – when it lent her a sparkling black and white Volvo to ride to the church in.
Local resident Lucy Dutton contacted Taylor’s website asking if it was possible to arrange HGV transport to her own wedding. She had decided against the traditional wedding car or horse-drawn carriage to mark the big day in favour of a trucker-style entrance as her father, father-in-law and future husband are all lorry drivers.
Taylors kindly waived any fee for the HGV. MD Alan Taylor says: “It was very clear that all the men in Lucy’s life have a passion for HGVs and driving, so we were happy to supply the truck for Lucy and Stephen’s big day. It was a real surprise for all the guests.
“Our fleet of over 200 trucks have delivered some unusual loads to some unusual locations nationwide and worldwide but I never expected one of our trucks to feature in a local family’s wedding album!†he says.
Lucy says: “It was amazing. I can’t thank Taylors Transport enough for all they have done.â€
Taylors says it was happy to help. We all wish Lucy and Stephen a long and happy life together.
