SCS Logistics joins with new shipper for Isle of Man deliveries

SCS Logistics has teamed up with established shipping company Trade Distribution Ltd (TDL) for delivery of pallets to the Isle of Man.

TDL is part of the Heron and Brearley hospitality group, which is a major employer in the Isle of Man and runs regular competitive crossings for passengers and freight.

SCS MD Sandra Cottam-Shea says the company will be putting trailers of palletised goods on both of the two daily shippings to the Island and believes the new deal will be good for customers. “TDL is a substantial company which knows the isle of Man well and has substantial resources to ensure speedy delivery to its 85,000 inhabitants. We believe this move will improve our service levels to this important community.”

SCS Logistics covers the Lancashire (LA) postcode for TPN as well as the Isle of Man. It currently takes fully laden trailers into the Minworth Hub for delivery to the Midlands and the South, and into the Northern Hub near Preston for delivery to the North of the country.
