Portsmouth-based 2MV Logistics is celebrating a return to pre-recession volumes with new curtains and livery on all its TPN vehicles.
The company, which has seen a return in delivery volumes to 2008 levels, and a 10% growth in Hub-bound pallets, has decided to spruce up its mobile message to customers on its three Mercedes-Benz Axor 1824 18-tonners. “TPN’s strength is quality of service and we’re proud to broadcast that,” says Dave Fairweather, operations manager. “In my last job I ran professional analysis on the service levels of third party logistics companies and so that was the first thing I did when I came to work here. The level of loss, failure or damage in the TPN network was so miniscule it wasn’t worth writing the report. It is an extraordinary level of service,” he says.
Fairweather says: “Last week one of international clients doubled its consignments sizes, hitting record volumes for us, but we took it in our stride. They were extremely happy that we could accommodate their extra business despite the short notice.”
