A night-driver for Ely-based TPN Member Malco Freight has just won the Outstanding BTEC Adult Learner of the Year for the whole of the UK, an outstanding achievement.
After leaving the military, Leigh Sessions wanted to pursue his goal of becoming an engineer but needed a way to support his family with his existing skills while he trained. Alison Jeffrey, MD of Malco Freight said she was very happy to support Sessions’ ambition. “Leigh has always been a very accommodating and reliable employee and we are not surprised that he has been recognised as having the same drive and passion in his studies. He’s very deserving of this award.â€
Sessions has been studying for his BTEC level 3 in mechanical engineering at Cambridge Regional College. Tutors praised his ‘amazing drive and determination’ and said he helped his whole cohort to achieve higher.
Sessions says the award “is a complete honour. I am lost for words. Over the moon.â€
