West Glamorgan-based TPN Member John Pearce Glynneath celebrated its 40th anniversary this year, reflecting on its tremendous journey from start-up to one of the largest employers in the Neath Valley.
The South Wales family firm has a large and varied fleet from vans to 44-tonne artics, all chosen for their environmental sustainability and commercial flexibility. The company handles most general haulage commodities which require multi-drop transport. Services include full loads, part loads, groupage, hazchem and express delivery.
“Our groupage service delivers to all areas of the UK, using our own fleet and TPN. We are lucky to have a number of long-term, blue chip customers but our smaller customers are also very important,†says MD Clive Davies.
“Many clients require time-sensitive deliveries on a daily basis, and we rely on TPN for first-class next day and economy pallet distribution. But we also stand ready to cater for our clients’ same day ‘panic’ deliveries because it’s on occasions like that that customers rely most on your ingenuity and determination,†says Davies. “Our drivers, workshop and office staff are fantastic — we could not do without any one of them.”
John Pearce Glynneath currently operates out of two warehouses. The main site has 16,000 sq ft of storage space, with 30,000 sq ft at other sites.
