Italian roofing systems manufacturer chooses 2MV for quality of service

Nord Bitumi is an Italian manufacturer which produces and exports bitumen-based roofing membranes and waterproofing systems worldwide. Its British team organises order fulfilment to building sites and trade premises all over the UK, using 2MV Logistics and the TPN pallet network for delivery.

“Nord Bitumi’s specialty is highly engineered bituminous waterproofing solutions. Primarily we deliver to roofing contractors but we also liaise with architects and the major contractors overseeing builds,” explains operations director Ben Allen.

“Quality is very important to our company so although we are a materials manufacturer, we run a quality inspection approval service to ensure the correct implementation and application of the membranes.

“The delivery service is out of our hands and the haulier we use thereby becomes an extension of our sales operation,” he says. “So it is very important to us that we use hauliers who matches our need for quality.”

Allen says 2MV has fair pricing and a good service. “Our despatchers speak very highly of them. Price and good service both matter because if I send something out cheaply and it doesn’t arrive then I haven’t saved anything. We’ve only ever had one problem on a pallet with 2MV and it was quickly resolved.”

“It has taken us a number of years to find the right transport companies to partner, but when we have it right, our customers are satisfied,” says Allen.
