Hi-Speed Services celebrates milestone

The Hi-Speed Services team celebrated a pallet milestone recently when they achieved their target of more than 100 pallets going into the Hub on a single night – just before the busiest season of the year and a major contract win.

The Aldershot-based company, which started as a same-day courier, joined TPN five years ago and has steadily built its local business.  It carries a wide array of freight including tiles, turf, wine, food, electronics and ride-on lawn mowers.

A new company which specialises in chimney installations is expecting to send enough product for another trailer a night into the TPN Hub.

Sales director Barry Little says the company is continually reviewing and investing in its 60-strong fleet to ensure it has the capacity to handle growth at home or in the network. “The trick in a pallet network is that your customer is everyone’s customer, so we are as beholden not to let other depots down as we are not let our own customers down.”

He says the team was excited and proud to hit to 100+ milestone. “They all deserve congratulations for how hard they worked to make this happen, and it’s testament to the network too. Palletising freight is a no-brainer, commercially and operationally – but TPN is the best pallet network out there and you can’t substitute that kind of quality support.”
