Lincolnshire-based family firm George H Kime has brought its 80-year expertise to TPN. It joined the network in June and has seen volumes rise steadily.
“We have specialised for a long time in palletised transport and distribution,” says MD Nigel Kime. “We have a varied customer base and we felt that TPN offered the greatest flexibility and consistent service levels to meet all our customers’ needs.”
The company has dedicated eight of its 24 vehicles to TPN work and is currently taking more than 40 pallets a night into the Hub and delivering 70 into Lincolnshire.
George H Kimes has previous experience of pallet networks. “The pallet network model works very well both for customers and regional haulage companies. But that is not to say all networks are the same. We wanted a network which had good communication with its Members and customers, and which prized good service and long-term relationships. One of our colleagues was involved with TPN many years ago and so we knew it to be a sound and solid partner,” says Kime.
