Fleetstyle Distribution invests in MAN urban vehicle

Swansea-based TPN Member Fleetstyle Distribution has taken delivery of a new 18-tonne MAN urban delivery vehicle, citing the marque’s excellent service and support. The company was so impressed with MAN’s helpline and aftersales support for its tractor units, bought in 2013, that it has gradually moved its entire fleet over to MAN.

Fleetstyle MD Chris Downing says the MAN TGS tractors the company has been using for trunking work return excellent fuel economy and, as Euro-6 vehicles, they are among the cleanest on the road.

Its new 18-tonner has not come a moment too soon as January volumes have been extremely strong despite it traditionally being a quiet period in transport. “Since coming back from Christmas we have been extremely busy,” says Downing. “There has been a big uptake in pallet numbers.”

Fleetstyle handles a wide range of palletised goods including animal feed and agricultural supplies, retail product, and manufactured goods. It also has expertise in hanging garments, and order fulfilment for some of the UK’s largest retail outlets.
