Express Logistics does an epic job for bespoke insulation manufacturer

Epic Insulation manufactures and distributes insulation for underfloor heating, a bespoke product which it supplies to developers, major distribution outlets and residences throughout the UK.

Although operations manager Andy Baxter uses two transport carriers in order to ensure that Epic always has sufficient delivery capacity, its preferred haulier is Express Logistics (Harrow).

Baxter says: “Express Logistics does happen to be the best value proposition between the two and cost is a factor but it’s not the most important factor for us. We simply pass on the costs of carriage to the customer.

“What matters more is Express is very good. There are always occasional problems with transport but if a problem does occur they sort it out quickly and efficiently.”

Express Logistics won the Gold TPN Performance Award in 2017 out of the eight leading companies which received Outstanding Performance Recognition Certificates. Each of these depots had an average score of over 99% across all KPIs across the entire year.
