Delsol gears up for expansion

North Wales-based TPN Member DelSol has recruited a new managing director and is adding to its 125-strong team as part of its wider plans for expansion. The company had a turnover of £7.6m last year which reflected strong growth and aims to exceed that in 2017.

“We’ll be investing strongly in our depots at Caernarfon and Sandycroft,” says new MD Dave Phillips. “DelSol has a strong culture of excellent customer service which, of course, fits well with TPN, our pallet network. We will be aiming to grow the business through our core business of pallets and parcels.”

Phillips has 40 years’ experience in the transport sector, including warehousing, fulfilment, pick-and-pack and direct haulage, so he has a wealth of knowledge to bring to the role. “I’ll be concentrating on building relationships with customers and ensuring that we provide the range of services they need,” he says.

DelSol had also promoted long-term member of staff Kevin Jones to financial director.
