Dawson Food Services says using TPN and Ken Mallison Transport ‘just works’

Barnsley-based Dawson Food Service Equipment provides industrial dishwashers, automated handling systems, combination ovens, blast chillers and prime cooking equipment to dealers, wholesalers and their customers around the UK. Deliveries are made to the outlet’s premises or customer sites such as school, hospitals or restaurants.

Dawson uses Ken Mallinson Transport for its deliveries, which can be economy, next day, or timed, because of its excellent service record. “We don’t even measure KPIs now,” says Dawson’s sales support administrator Louise Hampshire. “It just works. We can book product in by 2.30pm which is later than our previous transport company, and Ken Mallinson’s is flexible about fluctuating volumes and even occasional last-minute bookings.”

She says great service is far more important than price. “They are very good and that keeps our customers happy.”
