Portsmouth-based 2MV Logistics is celebrating its tenth birthday in 2011, with a year of activities to mark its past achievements and look forward to new opportunities on the horizon.
Graham Truckel, sales manager, says: “We have achieved a lot and changed a lot in the past year. We moved into new premises with a purpose-built warehouse, we’ve expanded the fleet and we’ve restructured internally to enhance the very personal service we give our clients. In the midst of these changes, we have retained all our operational staff and drivers.
We never forget that these are the staff that deliver our customer promises. Their friendly, efficient service ensures a strong level of customer retention. We are turning 10 with much to be proud of and we will be including our customers in our celebrations.â€
2MV boosted its pallet numbers by 48% in 2010, with the second half-year showing an increase of 60% compared to the same period in 2009. “We have tried to raise the profile of the company,†says Truckel, “but what attracts customers is that everyone in the firm is qualified to take their call and help them. There’s no treating people as numbers or shunting them through switchboards.â€
The company is also committed to its green agenda. “Green operations mean less waste, and less harm to the environment. We are planning introducing urban trailers into the fleet to provide a flexible, efficient option to rigid 18-tonners, reducing our carbon footprint.â€
2MV is launching a new website in March, and to coincide with this, it will start a six-month sales and marketing campaign which will celebrate existing customers as well as introduce new companies to its services. There will be regular giveaways for customers culminating in a 10th birthday party in September.
