Green is lean in Anglia

TPN Member The Pallet Network Anglia (PNA) is focusing on reducing its carbon footprint with sweeping measures to make its operation more environmentally friendly.

The company, which has been a TPN Member since 2002, has replaced its LPG forklifts with electric models and has installed a wind turbine to compensate for the extra electricity needs. The 15m 6kw turbine provides all the company’s electricity needs with any surplus being fed into the National Grid.

PNA also has a policy of recycling its ink cartridges and mobile phones for the benefit of Riding for the Disabled and all internal paper is shredded for animal bedding.

MD Richard Gilbert says “We live in a fast moving, throwaway society but we all have a duty to look after the world we live in. Here at PNA we see sustainable business as a natural part of the high service levels we offer our customers”.
